We have treeripened fruit from our own orchards in the upper Yakima Valley at the base of the Cascade Mountain Range. Hot summer days with cool nights allows us to grow the best fruit in the world! We normally pick on the same tree every 2-3 days to get the best possible fruit, sometimes one tree will be picked 7 times! Our Cherries are being picked daily for our store! We picking Bing, Rainier, Lapin, Selah and Van cherries! The Sweetheart Cherries are coming off next week also! We are picking Apricots Robada as they ripen every few days! Orangered cots will be picked next week. We will be picking our first peaches of the year starting about the 25th of July with Red Havens! We will still have a good supply fruit for the season; cherries, apricots, peaches, a few nectarines & plums, pears and apples. Some varieties did not make it through the spring frost and others came through fine. |
